Today is charity day in La Tania. It's a day of awesome fun, live music, crazy games and high stakes competitions all in aid of charity. It's been a beautiful day today so we headed down to see what it was all about. Louise, chalet host in
Marmottons, baked three cakes to be entered into the cake competition including this beautiful French chocolate number decorated with a rose and rose petals! There were lots of prizes on offer and Louise won the prize for most cakes entered! Not sure if that's a compliment....

Anyway we sat down outside
Le Ski Lodge and had a wee cheeky cider before some of us attempted the tight rope walk set up by Barney from
New Gen who we've had staff lessons with. His tight rope walking is very nearly as good as his skiing! Anyway, Barney and mate Stu were also manning the 'throw sponges at the boss' stand, so I was dragged into the stocks all in the name of charity! I've learned some lessons from this. 1. Don't wear a white T-shirt. 2. Don't ever do this when the ground is muddy - it all ends up in your hair off the sponges and 3. Never let anyone who has played cricket for the school join in - heavy wet sponges hitting you in the face at speed hurt a surprising amount!! Anyway, the poor guests I had to pick up at the Taverne must have been a bit surprised when I gave them a lift up the road as I was soaking wet, dirty and very smelly! Sorry! All for a good cause!
